Yes.. so if the corrupt government decides to crackdown they will literally be fucking themselves over at the same time.. honestly doesn't matter.. whatever nations decide to embrace bitcoin are going to rise to the top of the changing world order and that's it.
We need our government to support mining for private industry/individuals and be actively involved in it themselves. The countries that figures this out first wins.

One of the points that the thesis makes is that no megalomaniacal dictator has ever been able to achieve 51% control of earths natural resources because warfare acts as a protocol that keeps earth's resources decentralized.
The same will be true for the bitcoin protocol. Every single nation on Earth will eventually be using bitcoin to compete and it will keep the network decentralized. Thinking nations won't engage in an open-source, zero-trust, permissionless protocol that produces the most valuable resource ever is failing to grasp the larger game theory that is going to play out.

I've read the thesis and I'm not sure what to tell you.. he explains what bitcoin is from a first principles, systems thinking approach and its totally perception altering.
I think once you can get it for free you should read it even if you think you disagree with it. If you go into it with an open mind I think you might be surprised.
