I have roses, hawthorne, and burrs which are bad enough, briars would really suck. I've gotten into burrs and had them coat the bottom of my kilt but it protected the rest of me from their abrasion.

I am also missing the guineas i need for decimating the tick population in my woods. Pulled a lonestar off my chest about a week ago.
Since I fenced my property so my dog roams and the deer are NOT walking around there are no ticks. They are the prime mover of the little bastards and the less deer travel the less ticks. At least for me here in the PNW. The chickens free ranging helps a lot too but they aren't up on the hil where the dog roams. I haven't found a tick on him in years.
