I have two phones. One with everything I consider addictive, bad for mental health, a waste of time etc… and one with all the things that make everyday life more useful. It’s a good system.
what keeps you from adding the bad stuff to the good phone? or being on the bad phone too much? I have tried many ways of breaking my phone addiction with no success. I even got a wise phone and a light phone but they were not even good for calls or texts which was a problem.

It didn't work for me. It's possible mine was just glitchy or we were never able to troubleshoot it properly but all my calls were fuzzy and the texts didn't come in reliably. if you have extra money to give it a try, it might be worth it. They've also made a lot of upgrades so it might be better.
