Are you sure they were people? 🤖😂 Also for Alby, I know you can connect your own node to your account instead of using theirs. Does that still use the getalby.com address? If so, it's possible some of those were self custodial.

Imo if you don't control domain and web server it's still not self custody, alby can at anytime intercept and track the payments 🫡👨💻 (or course they don't do this, but iz possible)
Yes but isn't that simply moving the goalposts of what "self-custodial" means? (Note, I didn't reply on your thread, just thinking out loud." Self custody refers to funds. Self-sovereign may be a better term for what you're expecting of people. And in that case, how can a web domain ever truly be self sovereign when ultimately they're controlled by centralized entities?
I haven't had any luck finding a tutorial on setting up the webserver. I'm kinda learning as I go. At the moment I have an address that uses Fiatjaf's server with my domain. Do you know of any "easy to follow" resources?
