My sense is that 2026 will bring a sharp escalation in attempts to monitor, restrict, and condition our privacy, freedoms, and access to money. Digital IDs, CBDCs, and tighter internet controls all seem to be converging at once. This feels coordinated rather than accidental.
If this sounds exaggerated, look at 2024 and 2025. Digital Naira and Digital Yuan rollouts. Digital ID pushes in the UK and EU. The UK Online Safety Act now active. Australia moving to block social media for under 16s. These are not isolated experiments. They are signals.
I worry we will see more arrests, more pressure, and possibly real harm as people resist. That is not something I say lightly.
Still, 2026 has to become a year of pushback and alignment. Education, decentralised tools, parallel systems, and community matter more than ever. Hope will not come from governments. It will come from people choosing sovereignty together.

No I think your right on, they are almost done developing it all.
More dollars will be printed. The dollar will continue to decline. Politicians will continue to be corrupt. Aliens will reveal themselves.

Yes, and probably others. I suspect automotive and related industries will start to crack. I also think we will start hearing more chatter about backstopping AI investments. Low key hints here and there with it ramping up as people realize that shit is going to fall apart.

Bitcoin will continue on, politicians will gnash teeth, cry harder, and continue to attempt increasing control over humanity. Nostr will keep growing bit by bit. Fiat will keep debasing, more pain and angst in the world for those who continue hiding their heads in the sand.
Also, hopefully the Lord's church will grow and strengthen in their faith. I'd like to think less people's kids will have their lives ruined by war and ignorance, too. One can hope! 🤔❤
Nostr hasn’t been growing though, the opposite.
More people realize the fiat treasure hunt (or “American dream” if you will) is a trap.
