This is what actually makes likes (or reactions) useful, not the “collecting” of likes on the receiving end, but letting others know what you like on the sending side, they are a signal to let others know what you like.

The useful ones are those you see on someone’s profile, not on someone’s post. Who is this person? What does he/she like? Maybe I like this also (Discovery)? Or maybe I should unfollow, etc.

That’s why the whole zap vs likes thing is nonsense, you don’t send someone likes, you like something or you send someone sats (zaps).

Yes, i agree. But i put in the disclamer there because the intent behind a 'like' can vary. It could also be sarcastic for example
