Challenge for next week: find 1 person who knows nothing about nostr and watch them sign up and use your client.
Don’t tell them how to do anything, just watch (in person) and listen. Take note of everything they say and do. Check to see where they get stuck.
This feedback will be more valuable than anything else you do this week. Focus on that.
Btw anyone can do this not just devs. Ask if you can record that person getting started just for testing purposes.

I've been referring friends to join all week. Unfortunately none of them stayed guess they didn't see the value... Yet. I will keep telling them just like I do with #bitcoin.

The beauty of no algorithm is that there’s nothing manipulating your timeline. The challenge of no algorithm is that new users have to actively find friends and people to follow or it starts to feel like a single fax machine with nobody on the other end.
It takes time and not everyone is willing to put in the effort up front to have a great experience.
