I would love to see you cover some current events to fill in the gaps created by closing The Feed and the The New Media Show, with the focus on what they could mean in of for the future of podcasting. I think you could be a nice additional perspective to Podnews Daily and Podnews Weekly Review.

Man, I don’t know. I’ve wondered the same thing.
It’s kind of a “throw away” show to learn how to do some new things. But I can’t just make it - I have to publish too. And for some reason, some people are downloading it too :-)

I just finished recording my first audio book narration (The Practice of the Presence of God). It's a fairly short book and in the public domain.
You're welcome to check it out. It's totally free.

Get it in a podcast app: https://pod.link/aHR0cHM6Ly9zZXJ2ZS5wb2Rob21lLmZtL3Jzcy9lYWE2ZDdkNC00YWJkLTRmMzktYTI5MS1iOGVmZmM5OTUxYjg
Note: Not in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Amazon Music/Audible, as they all have paid audiobook offerings already.
I got the first few chapters up and got it into the index.
Glad to be one of the test cases.
I’m working on one to host on Podhome this week. It’s old and in the public domain, but it’s something.
Are there any special directories to submit to other than Podcast Index (for the modern apps) and some of the regular apps and indexes?

There are some at project Gutenberg and librivox. Also, some available as podcasts. Just not as many as Audible and not always as easy to find them.
Oh, many libraries also have audiobooks available.
I’m not an expert but my first thought is that maybe you don’t have sufficient outbound liquidity or perhaps you need an additional channel option to get to the receiving wallet.
A wallet holds sats and can send and receive. An invoice is the mechanism to send and receive.
I’ve been using Blockstream because it’s pretty easy to use with a private node over Tor. Works fine for me.

Just testing.
I’m surprised it’s only 5 mins on 1.75 hrs. I typically end up cutting 10-15% of raw audio removing um-er-uhhh and filler/stumble on a full listen and technical edit for client episodes.
The key to podcast growth isn’t getting guests to share. And what if unending growth isn’t the goal anyway?

I’d love to know your thoughts on the differences between the audio edit and the video version (on YouTube).
