You can do that in audiobook shelf.
Yep, I started hosting that after I ditched Audible for audiobooks! It handles podcasts as well and you can generate RSS feeds for audiobooks.
podcasting 2.0 is always looking for RSS based project to maybe collab with.
They do handle podcasts, so it would be interesting to see 2.0 integrated with it.
I'm more interested in adding stuff like chapters and maybe lighting payments in the RSS feeds for the audiobooks and not so much the podcasting stuff but if it's all RSS it's not really that different. Just an mp3, art and other info.
Podcast, Music, Audiobooks etc basically all the same thing we just needs apps that display them well because podcast apps don't do other things that well.
I've never actually tested how the RSS works from audiobook shelf. If you want, I could post a link to a book and you could see how it works. I'd be curious to see if it works well.
That would be cool. You can just manually add RSS feeds to most podcasting apps btw.
I pasted that into the PodcastGuru search and this is what I got.
Saw they are working on apps and I'll have to contact them and say "hey we got apps already"
Actually I had audible books that didn't work when the app was in airplane mode so I downloaded them and Castamatic lets you import files from iCloud so I listened that way. This is kind of the same thing just different steps.

I’m working on one to host on Podhome this week. It’s old and in the public domain, but it’s something.
Are there any special directories to submit to other than Podcast Index (for the modern apps) and some of the regular apps and indexes?
Nope. Podcastindex covers it all. We really haven't had many people interested in audiobooks and the ones that are want it paywalled which kills any chance of people seeing how it works in the different apps.
Also @podhome will take care of you and I'll try to keep an eye out for it.

We have to start somewhere. Cant build audiobook support without audio books.
PodHome also has an app so I'm interest to see how this works in that.
