It's easy to focus on the stuff that's broken, but if you take a step back nostr works incredibly well

If something not feeling like broken, chaotic, overwhelming, or stressful then it's not growing.
Growth is chaotic.
I love it, and I hate social media.
Any motor works best after rolling and been greased. This is a moving and growing project, a living thing. People is impatient. We need to learn to breathe and chill wee bit
You're only one mind shift away from understanding that everything you build will always be broken and to always be grateful for what works in that sea of chaos.
absolutely! nostr is fantastic. we do need to build things to feature completion though. that's why we bring it up. we can't on-board the masses shipping half built ships :)
i think for a period of time, many will come, many will leave but everytime a wave rides in, very few, maybe only 10% of users, will stay back.
These are the early adopters. They think different, they could be part of innovators, contributors or some form of builders. They will bring unique values - and the build gets better and better.
Someday when we look back, we can see the pattern but for now its messy, we have highs and lows.
There will be people who will come here and say it will never work. And when we are at a low, they will say "i told you so".
Ignore the small minded people. Ignore the negativity.
Those who see you having problem - and decide to bitch about you instead of helping you - can go fuck them themselves.
What matters is - there is a need for this, and there are many things we have not done, to throw in the towel so quickly.
There are millions of dollars of funds into this, as a collective. I can't possibly explain how exhausted I am day in day out working through multiple jobs and dealing with so much stress - and how privileged creators are here and yet i see so many whining that things are not perfect. Omg lol.
No matter who you are, you need to want something so badly to make it work.
Because when you build something, you will realise nothing will go as you plan.
You will want to scrap through every opportunity you can find, learn every single shit, take any chances you can get. Its those who can ride the wave, find opportunities in the midst of adversities who will survive and thrive.
Honestly, we are ok. But we could be better problem solvers and creative thinkers. And complain lesser.
Coracle has super sharp vision - we just can't see it yet. If i had money and nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn is looking for investor, i would totally put my money there lol. It will be the first I will invest in, purely for the vision he has, his build towards it and potential for growth.
nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn should apply for a gov grant - its easy - just tell them you are working on a decentralized communications protocol that includes providing a free space for folks to discuss CLIMATE CHANGE.
BOOM! $10 million !
Least wasteful climate change funding ever 😂
srsly though - if people can get grants for how meth'd-up cockroaches responding to the opposite sex would fare at +2° , surely nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn deserves...
My refrigerator isn't noting. Send halp.
Works better than the alternatives, that’s already very impressive to me
#nostr is a swarm of cyberhornets
decentralised coordination is in our blood
Whoever made this is a true coder.
I demoed Nostr apps as part of the fediforum conference and all the folks were really impressed with what we’ve built.
100%

I dislike positive feedback. It feels like people are just fluffing my ego, and not being straight with me. Tell me what’s wrong. Tell me what you dislike about my product. That’s what I’m here for. One negative review is worth 1000’s of positives reviews. You just have to not be butt hurt when someone tells you you’re not all that. Even when they’re not exactly friendly about it. It’s not just a bad review, but a free market telling you what the market demands. Ignore it, and have limited success. Address the market demands, and thrive. I can’t do that with 1000’s, or millions telling me how great I am.
It’s different. I don’t want it to look/feel like the bird app. I don’t want to endlessly doom scroll. People are nice and it feels good here!
Agreed. The fact it's already this good and it's only been a few years is impressive to say the least.
I so fucking agree💥
It is never too late to just throw it all out and start over
I often remember astral.ninja
