Yeah, gaming is where Windows still shines. In my experience, the games that support both Linux and Windows run faster and are more stable on the former.
But so many game developers are Windows only, going that route opens up quite a few more possibilities. And there are very few Linux-only games that don't have a comparable alternative on Windows.
Games are literally the only reason anyone in my family has a Windows box. But we do have that one!
It should be more than just gaming though. Windows looks more professional and nicer. Less buggy, just works. It looks like Laptop battery life is better on windows too. You don't have to worry about any Wayland issues or incompatibilities. Just works. And WSL let's you install Debian too =)
The looks are a personal preference. I certainly don't think Windows look more professional, even ignoring the adverts in the start menu. Then again, I've been in infosec for 15+ years, so my perspective has been shaped by that.
Can't speak about battery life since it's a desktop.

Just because you can do more to harden Linux than #Windows doesn't mean Linux is weaker out of the box. It's not.
Windows needs a firewall because it has so many network services installed by default. In contrast, default Linux installs have minimal services running, none of which are listening on the network. Having less attack surface is more secure by design. So your firewall example just highlights my point.
There are, of course better things than a stock #Linux system, of course. #OpenBSD would be one. #Qubes would be another.
But this whole battle of the OSes debate is tired. You do you. The rest of us will do us. There's really no need to try to convince me to switch from open source software to corporate, propritary products. I didn't ask which operating system I should choose.

I might look into it more deeply later. I've seen that its security isn't bad, but it still remains one of the most attacked operating systems. I still prefer Linux haha

I've heard people talking about it working extremely well as long as you use PCI pass through to give the VM direct access to a video card. I look forward to trying it myself.
It's just not worth the effort to go through setting up all the Windows software again unless I have to. Plus I worry that some old, unsupported programs like SketchUp won't install anymore (on hardware or in a VM). I've moved on to FreeCAD now but I still have some old models that would be tedious to recreate. They're not super important, but no need to lose them sooner than necessary.
I don't think Windows looks more professional; aesthetically, it's not the best. Nowadays, there are many Linux GUIs that are better and even easier to use. It's not like before when you did everything in the terminal. Also, Windows 11, for example, is full of bugs and manages RAM very poorly, something that doesn't happen on Linux. There are many games that run on Linux, but Windows does win there; however, if you're not someone who plays a lot, I always recommend Linux over Windows. Plus, the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) is horrible. I've never worked so uncomfortably as with that—it glitches terribly and there are a lot of things it doesn't let you do.
