Because it's querying the relays over webdocket for the zap kinds, and amethyst still in the works fetching events over websockets in bsckground. Trying to and delay....plus it's own internal parse thru events looking logic (just a guess)

I’m having a similar issue. I’ll react with the shaka symbol and see no zap appear, but my Zeus wallet shows funds leaving. Are you using zapplepay? That’s where my issues have been. Sure hope the recipient is getting the funds 😱

could also be you aren't watching the same relays that the zap receipt is pushed to

Either the recipient has private zaps enabled, or the receiving node did not broadcast the receipt event
