Think I'm about ready to throw in the towel with trying to get self-custodial, self-hosted zaps via BTCPay.

Anyone actually have this working reliably?

Yes using custom software

Sad state of affairs 😞

I have incoming via nostr:nprofile1qqsrf5h4ya83jk8u6t9jgc76h6kalz3plp9vusjpm2ygqgalqhxgp9g84ctjf pay but outgoing…omg. Kill me now.

I literally have the opposite problem. What specifically in Zeus are you using? Hosted channel with the LN address?

You're a legend.

We’ll all become a legend, but only after hyperbitcoinization. So let’s work our ass off.

Yes, but my BTCPay is hosted on Lunanode.

Teach me oh wise one!

Even just fully self-hosted lightning transactions are challenging. I remember way back trialing BlueWallet with the hidden LDK connected to my own node. It was always 50/50 and a nervous wait to see if the transaction went through (which wasn’t a great example to new vendors who perhaps hadn’t experience lightning much / at all)

I now use the likes of Phoenix which is a nice half-way house. Would love to see a wallet that had two channels out, one via your own node, and one via an LSP as a fall-back so transactions always go through.

I need to look at how the LDK has moved along though. Would love to integrate something like that into Damus - I think there are enough custodial solutions out there, so time for something more sovereign.

Keep pioneering! It’s through efforts like yours that the UX improves for the less technically (or patient) inclined.

Keep up the awesome work mate âš¡
