How did cure your back? And how did you progress to 225? I’m in a similar situation

Oh and wear a fucking weightlifting belt lol I never used to wear one, that was extremely stupid of me.

Why is it stupid not to wear a belt ?

From my own experience I noticed that maintaining proper form (ie correct exercise position) is easier with belt, especially with challenging weights — which means different things to different people and different moments.

ATG is as legit as it gets

I’ve checked it out, and I’m doing the exercises as well I can — I’m not very flexible

Just start small and build up. You have to think in terms of building up muscle to protect the injury rather than avoid the injury.
