Ended the day with a mead tasting(unfortunately, it did not come with a Viking horn).
Mead is absolutely delicious if you’ve never had it. It’s from honey!!

I used to brew mead. I love it.
That’s so cool. Was it difficult?
A lot of the work is cleaning everything
It takes a good while of elapsed time but only a few minutes a day. Weeks to months to finish a batch.
Nah. Just cleanliness, attention to details, and quality ingredients.
Bottling is the only real labor intensive thing but if you only make 1 gallon batches then you don’t really have to worry about that part.
I’m seriously gonna look into it. I’d love to be able to make my own.
Pick up this book and read the last chapters about mead.
The whole damn book is an excellent start to brewing in general.

Honestly didn’t know people still drank mead or that you could have tastings. Very cool!
No a viking horn would have been special like the Gods in Valhalla would drink 🍻 brilliant post.
Thank you!!!
Another mead maker here. There are so many varieties there is something for everyone's taste. Blueberry is a favorite of mine.
Love a good mead.
Love Mead. If you've had it and didn't enjoy, try a different one.
This is where I first tasted Mead:
