If you are staying inside Uvita you don’t *need* a car or motorbike, everything is walkable. If you are staying outside of town, or just want to take trips to nearby beaches/waterfalls and stuff it’s really helpful. I probably would go crazy not having one tbh, all depends on your plans. Rental cars are fairly expensive here but you can find better deals if renting long term (30 days+). Motorbikes are cheaper but remember it rains. A LOT 😅

Thanks! Going in February-March, heard it doesn’t rain so much then. Maybe motorbike is the play, I want to go surfing a lot, is it necessary to have transport to the beach?

The beach in Uvita is beautiful and walkable right from town but not for surfing. Best surfing beaches like Playa Hermosa or Dominical you’ll need transport to get to 🏄‍♂️

i rented a bike while i was there and it was awesome
