Talked to them. They dont have the key, never got when they bought the house. Live far away, told us to jam a knife in it.

You could get injured.

Depending on the airbnb policy you could get a locksmith and have them pay for it since they dont have a spare key or any other way to let you in

And obviously contest any charges in the future if they try to bill you for a malfunctioning lock
