Have you seen the movie “La Sociedad de la Nieve” ???
Do you think it is ethical to practice cannibalism with the deceased to survive while they waited for rescue ???

cannibalism is crazy
Nobody knows how they'd react in a situation like that. History shows that people will. Off the top of my head, there was the Donner Party and also Alfred Packer.
I know how I would've reacted. I would've walked my ass off until I can't breathe anymore. Walk and walk and walk. Once you reach an altitude where temperature, pressure and snow levels are favorable to human life, your chances of survival increase exponentially.
THEY WERE JUST TOO DUMB TO THINK STRAIGHT.
Rugby players, what were you expecting? Not rocket scientists.
You don't think that they tried to do that? They were stranded due to weather.
The only thing that could've stopped them would be rain. I doubt they had rain. Snow and wind can't stop a man walking down a mountain.
One day to prepare clothes and food, 3-4 days walking, they're saved.
Are you ever close to die in a mountain? If you dont know that feeling you dont know what you are tslking about. In extreme conditions where is cold, is dificult to walk with snow and all is full of cliffs, just go down, usually is not easy or even possible. There no trails o signs. I dont think I would eat nobody but also I know and didnt have that extreme experience, I have some experience in high mountains trying to survive and I can tell you, your mind change to survival mode and you have different logical thinking.
They did it in the end. They could've done it at the beginning. Rich boys with no idea of how Nature and their own bodies works.
It doesnt matter rich or poor boys, matter experience and courage. At the beginning they expect somebody goes to rescue them but then they felt hungry and low energy. I understand what you mean, just I am trying to explain that things seems really easy from your warm sofa. Outside with cold, hungry and hopeless your brain works in other way.
En mi caso personal depende de quién sean los fallecidos, si es un familiar, sería imposible para mí.

Tiene razón. Podrían haber caminado cuesta abajo.
Not ethical. Disembodiment takes time. At least three days.
Proper burial is necessary for a peaceful transition.
They unknowingly tortured their dead friends for food.
Because of materialism most people nowadays don't understand this.
They only had to walk down, as they finally did. They were too stupid to realize at the beginning. Physical activity keeps you warm. They would've survived.
Two family members had a similar experience, they didn't think it for a second, they just began walking down the mountain, right away. That's what you do.
Todo depende del aprecio a tu vida y tu sensibilidad. Es dificil hacerse a la idea sin haberlo vivido, pero creo que habría intentado escapar de allí antes de tener que practicar el canibalismo.
absolutely not, and humans can survive on no food for about 3 weeks so there's that also
if you can't find a way out in 3 weeks then, well, i dunno, i guess it's just very fucking bad luck, cos in 3 weeks you can walk at least 300 miles even with zero food, and easily if you are a fatass
They were in very good shape, rugby players. They would've survived, even with bad weather, the first day.
Also I prefer to risk my feet walking in the snow rather than eating someone else's.
I don't think it's as simple as you say under those conditions but the option is there, I doubt they haven't discussed it
cannibalism is always wrong. period. feed the ones that fall to the dog, if it still is alive, but fuck that.
unless you are at sea and can't craft a way to catch fish, then maybe, maybe, you can eat the person who died of natural causes
in every other situation there is always a place to go, and things to eat in that place, eventually somewhere
In a mountain enviroment with snow there are no way to be alive 3 weeks with no food, with good luck and warm clothes you can live one week. Altitude and cold eat your body. I know that bc I spent more than 20 years doing alpinism in high and cold mountains.
if you can't get to lower ground yeah you are gonna be screwed but fuck sitting in a snow cave waiting to be eaten from drawing straws, i'd take my chances with falling off the side of a cliff over that any day
I think it was a very extreme situation, they were dying, I think there was no way for them to survive.
