Subnostr

Sending ecash on Nostr has gotten really easy. You just paste the Cashu token in a DM, and receiver clicks the Redeem button. It automatically transfers the sats to the lightning wallet you have defined in your nostr profile.

Alternatively, you can click the middle button and it will open your ecash wallet and you can redeem the ecash directly, or you can click the right button and it copy the token to your clipboard and redeem it with your ecash wallet manually.

It's been very cool watching the evolution of this process.

It's an excellent lightning and ecash wallet. The devs have put a lot of thoughtful effort into the design and functionality, and it's really come a long way in a relatively short time. It's stable, reliable, and intuitive. Features lightning and ecash support, Nostr integration, granular NWC, custom lighting address, and full Cashu maintenance functionality. I wholeheartedly recommend Minibits to everyone looking for a solid wallet.

I tested using Amethyst. I other clients, you'll probably just see the raw token. But you can copy it to your clipboard and redeem it manually with your ecash wallet. I guess Amethyst is on the cutting edge of Cashu integration! Hopefully the other clients take note and support this integration in a future relase.

I've used eNuts. It's a pretty nice wallet, tho it was a bit unpolished and buggy last time I used it (on Android). I'm not sure if Minibits supports iOS, but I'm sure it's on their roadmap for a future relase.

You just generate a Cashu token for whatever amount using any Cashu-compatible wallet, copy it to your clipboard, and paste it into a Nostr note or DM. Voila!

Sorry I didn’t mean to write that. I’m familiar of the process just didn’t know what wallet you were using as I haven’t seen before.

Currently been using bullish nuts and ENuts a lot and of course Cashu by Calle and others

Apparently, this lovely token integration isn't supported by Primal or Damus. The functionality I described is using Amethyst. In other clients you'll probably just see the raw token, which you can copy to your clipboard and redeem manually using your ecash wallet. Not as cool, but still functional and useful.
