That's a fair sentiment. I have a lot of spare Android phones I'd be happy to donate. How do I donate them in such a way that I can be sure they're getting into the right hands? Those poor people who really need them.

Here's one option I found. If that doesn't work for you there's lots of charities that accept phones. Google for them and read their mission statements to decide if you think they'll do what you want with them.
Will do my research. I have seen so many cases of nonprofits skimming funds and doing other things I wouldn't wanna support (e.g. Oxfam prostitutes) I need to make sure it's a trustworthy organisation.
But I will donate Android phones 💜
Btw the Plebphone project I'm launching is all about helping bitcoiners. Selling de-googled Android and GrapheneOS phones for sats. 10% of every sale of a GrapheneOS phone goes straight to the GrapheneOS project. Every three months, additional coin will be donated to various Bitcoin aligned projects such as Free Ross and Tor.
