Oh is that why there are always way too many first person shooters? Conditioning.

I think the kids would much rather be shot to bits on there, than irl.

Ah but might you be forgetting that wonderful hubris of youth, when conceiving your own demise is unfathomable until a brush with mortality.

They just need a recruiter to convince a 17YO to sign their name once, promising them plenty, and then all of a sudden it’s do as your told for years or you will be sent to prison or be dishonorably discharged

Yes, that's a good point actually. My son wanted to join the military when he was younger. It took a lot of persuading and explaining to him that this would be folly. Depending on how soon the shit hits the fan over here in Europe, they may even try to conscript him, again, I'll be telling him to very very seriously consider becoming a conscientious objector, that's what I'd do. There's no fucking way I'd be fighting a way, thousands of miles away, for fuck all.

Exactly, if it was for the betterment of our children’s lives, It’d all be different.

It’s pretty much permanent wartime now since the Pentagon’s construction nearly a century ago, and all the wars serve hidden agendas. Not at all the same as when you fight to defend yourself.

The only time I'd shoot at anyone is if there was a land invasion of my country. That's it, no other reason, whatsoever.

Yeah, you get it! Self defense is your only reason for use of force.

I prefer having a shotgun around for it is the best deterrent without having to fire. When you rack a shotgun in the dark, people think twice about whatever they were plotting.

Similar to how when a Jedi pulls out a saber, people pipe tf down for that noise.

lol did you just find that? Or have you been saving this for just such occasion?

It was posted a few days ago by someone on here🥳.
