How do we follow a location? I want to see posts from people in Boston in my feed. 🤔

This is an interesting idea!
would we need a location NIP? that way clients and users can opt-into it? then we have a local feed along with followers, global, lists, etc.
Nip12 example: Location-specific Posts: clients can use a `g` ("geohash") tag to associate a post with a physical location. Clients can search for a set of geohashes of varying precisions near them to find local content.
a great way to visualize can be found at

same!
Need to standardize the g tag
When making post, give options to allow setting location of event with current coordinates from device or user provided.
When searching, begin supporting advanced search to filter by g tag, or p tag, since/until in addition to local filtered text
Well known/named locations need to rely on a lookup of their lat/long and apply bounding box (easiest/fastest), radius or shape file.
Usually a simple lat long and radius is sufficient for most practical purposes of users. The logic for determining if a point is inside a shape is straightforward math, but doesn't correlate well to querying a dataset unless the backed is more gis specialized.
Vous pensez que c'est utile ..postez notez suffisent largement m'est avis
G tag query? Has to be same accuracy though
this.
my map adds g tags at all parent geohash levels, so you can find tags at lower zoom levels when you are on a map
You're wicked smaht. You'll figure it out.
working on something...
it currently does eventkind 10411, but gonna modify to use 0...so people can edit g/geohash tags on their profiles... clients could search by location using g tags
Ça dépend si l'utilisateur veut qu'on le localise
If you're in boston, I highly recommend going to the DAO and Blockchain Nights events
Quel est l'intérêt ?
Add a g-tag to notes?
