SeedSigner
Multivendor multisig.
Backup HWW if your setup goes sideways for any reason.
Interesting 🤔
Garbage 🗑️ SeedSigner is the gold standard
SeedSigner seems even worse to me
Please.. let’s talk about it
A raspberry pi seems much less secure than a trezor to me
Like, how does it do HDMI? That's a proprietary version of displayport right? And if it has a general-purpose GPU, don't all of those use proprietary code too?
Most importantly, since the system wasn't designed to hold crypto, there is zero-party accountability. If the raspberry pi manufacturer or their parts manufacturers decide to take your coins and you shoot up an office over it, you just look like a dick because you don't know if the people in that office had anything to do with it. All you know is you used a device for something very risky that it wasn't designed for and it went badly. The manufacturers of trezor have taken responsibility for making a crypto wallet and they have incentive to make sure the device they work on doesn't steal my coins so there's no scenario where my coins disappear and I shoot a trezor employee and instead of a villain I'm a hero to all the other trezor victims.
What's more likely to be a target of stealing Bitcoins:
A: your stateheld device that you bought for one specific use that is only designed to be used with Bitcoin.
B: your stateless device which wipes itself after every use that uses generic parts of which has a million use cases.
Note: neither device has WiFi, Bluetooth capability.
C: my Nintendo 64 (it has mainline Linux support)
Wait I meant less likely not more likely
Fuck
Don't steal my Nintendo 64 wallet please
It doesn’t need an hdmi cord because it has a camera and screen. Not sure if that’s what you meant but I’ve never used it any other way. The statelessness of the SeedSigner is really good feature because it doesn’t matter if the device is lost/ stolen / confiscated. I’m sure the other option is fine…, till it is not. SeedSigners I’m confident is bulletproof. The accountability is in the code not the company 😞
I mean since it supports HDMI it's got unnecessary taxes baked into its very design specs. And the code can't be accountable for the actions of the people that manufacture the devices. Companies are people, code isn't people
Don't use the SeedSigner if you don't want to, but stop pretending to be conscious of the tradeoffs when you're just parroting an executive at a corporation.
Where the fuck did your train of thought come from here? I have definitely never heard an executive at a corporation say what I'm saying, and I guarantee you haven't either, and neither has any audio recording on the internet because it's not the type of shit corporate executives say.
It will be the type of shit they say when they start parroting me - fuck you for putting it the other way around based on NOTHING, asshole
TailsOS works well

It’s open source but it’s not clear to me how you connect to it other than via USB. It has a micro SD slot, but NFC would be ideal for newbies (less error-prone than QRs and more secure than Bluetooth).
Trezor is a great company.
USB HWWs are super useful.
