By "AI" do we mean what the industry currently means or all all AI (that would include the denoiser in Blender, since it's based on neural networks).
I'm gonna go for ALL AI. I think you could have a non -ai version of something like that (not that I fully know what it is). And it probably wouldn't be so bad lol.
The non-AI based denoisers (which Blender used before the current one from Intel) absolutely suck in comparison.
The current denoiser saves a lot of time and energy while preserving quality.
Yeah but you'll be fine. It's a small sacrifice to make to get rid of all AI images and videos. Right??
I actually wouldn't sacrifice a field almost as old as modern computer science itself just to have less slop on social media.

Sure! There are some avenues of technology that shouldn’t be followed, because they will lead to the end of humanity (at least as we know it). AI is one of them.
It's worse than the end of humanity, it's really unfunny.
If AI was at least funny and the end of humanity, I'd be tempted to keep it.
Yeah, I‘m having this kind of thoughts rn as well… Not really motivating! Woke up around midnight, couldn’t fall asleep again due to such thoughts and am now sitting on a sofa scrolling through nostr since 2 hrs hoping to calm down my mind… Once you see through the veil, it‘s rough going!
