Both of my elderly grandmothers are in the hospital. The 97 year old has the flu. The 87 year old has COVID. Both were really bad yesterday, but better today. Fluids and oxygen have done wonders. These ladies have had immense impact on my life, always being there for me and spoiling me, even as an adult. I deeply worry about them and hope they make speedy recoveries. I'm sure they'll be fine. I'm not ready to have them leave my life yet.

I'm sorry to hear that your grandmothers are not doing well. I hope they feel better soon. πŸ«‚

Good luck. I still don’t understand we need to leave some day this earth. But till then I try to enjoy what we get. Stay strong πŸ™

Wishing them both a quick recovery. πŸ«‚

I’ve managed to get to 52 years of age without ever having lost a single beloved family member or close friend. I’m bracing myself for the losses of my grandparents, parents, and maybe some friends in the next couple of years.

I hope that you get some time with your grandmothers before they pass on. My fav grandmother is such a gem and still very β€œwith it”, despite barely hanging in there these last 5 years.

All we can do is live lives that will honor them when they are gone. ✌🏽

Best wishes, Derek, and I hope you inherit their resilience

Well at this age to catch flu or disease is not good, but I believe they are at these ages 97 and 87. They will be good. They will get recover fast hope for the best and definitely they have more fighting spirit as it is showing in their numbers

Best wishes to all. My mother-in-law is 94 years young and doing well. This year after not receiving Christmas card from her best childhood friend found out she passed several months ago. She is now the last surviving member of her high school class.

Don't miss this time to spend with loved ones a second chance may never come.

I spend time with them very often πŸ«‚

hope they have a speedy recovery πŸ«‚

I hope they recover soon friend. Praying for them.

You and your grandmothers will be in my thoughts. I wish them a speedy recovery. I lost my Gramma almost 19 years ago and I still don’t feel ready to not have her in my life.

Thank you, Mallory. One is doing much better and will be home tomorrow πŸ«‚πŸ«‚πŸ«‚

So glad to hear it!

Update: My 97 year old grandmother is at home and doing well. She recovered from the flu just fine, IMO. My 87 year old grandmother with COVID is still in the hospital and not doing well at all.
