Agree -- but why are they playing dumb all the way up the chain? Homeland is involved? The FBI is 'seeking information'? They didn't know about a widespread and very visible military test? I mean, if they're trying to pull something 'secret' this is simply idiotic. They wanted us to see, they know we've seen...and are like 'golly we're just as flummoxed all yous guys'?

I agree the drone thing is weird, and weird is always interesting to the spidey-sense.
But if this is the intro to "extraterrestrials" it's completely unbelievable - they're very clearly regular human-tech drones. if you wanted to intro aliens, you'd use something entirely unfamiliar.
