In the long run, it all works out. The people dumb enough to fall for this will fail to pass on their genetics. I think there is something else at play though. The main reason I see amongst millennials is pure laziness and lack of maturity but with some lame excuse usually as a deflector. People who regularly listen to NPR will probably go with the climate change reason.
