People don't want to do anything unless the internet tells them to do it.

The only thing stopping me from installing the next shiny thing has always been disgust for mainstream.

Facebook, no. Until someone made me do it.

Instagram, no. Until someone told me that they were posting there and I had to join to connect.

Twitter, I did it because of Bitcoin, got off asap.

Reddit. Lurked forever before joining.

Others, they like the shiny stuff and want to feel like they are popular. They follow the crowd, but they don't follow real people, real people are boring.

"Don't make me install an app just for the sake of it, use the thing everyone else is using."

Thats how I see it.
