I just shimmied through a relatively narrow space between a clothing rack and a mannequin. All was fine and dandy… until the mannequin moved.

That’s exactly what I said!

Grabbed my pearls with one hand, his arm with the other, gave a little AH!, looked around for an AED, and said exactly that.

He, after being just as startled, called to his wife, chuckled a little and said ‘did you see what she just did?’

There’s a reason I don’t go out much.
