Embrace ๐Ÿ‘ multiple ๐Ÿ‘ clients ๐Ÿ‘.

If you only have your private key in one client, you are using nostr wrong.

A good number is 10-15 clients. Go find them.

Wen Amethystrudelsatellite ?

Only on Nostr ๐Ÿค™

10-15 is a bit much though ๐Ÿ˜…

It's not, use with NostrNet.work ๐Ÿซก

I can try that many clients but once I'm comfortable with one or 2, doesn't make sense to use others (atleast for the same kinds) ๐Ÿคท

What about Spring nostr browser by Nostr.Band? Is that safe?

yeah, using a single nostr client is like taking one bite of your steak and throwing the rest away

Though I forever chew on that one piece

mindfull

I've tested a lot.. and i can say with certainly that people do not have time to do all that ser

#nostrverse is time-consuming

10-15? I barely know 3 ๐Ÿ˜‚

Where's a cool place to create moderated communities? Looks like Amethist can't...

zappdit a @reddit styled client @alice was searching for one noh? nostr:npub1njst6azswskk5gp3ns8r6nr8nj0qg65acu8gaa2u9yz7yszjxs9s6k7fqx cant tag alice for some reason

Yes nostr:npub1vm2yasykvnuu3uhu6w45wnwd6p3lyv2q3kn6k3j98jptg0dxl76q8xuh2l maybe you know of it already, but that is another one to check out.

I've yet to find anything that runs as well as Nostrudel, personally. Which now has a Community post only feed ๐Ÿฅฐ.

Oh shit really? Ok I'll have to set that up right now thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you !

how is it?

Cheat code: spring.site

replying to remind myself to test this one out ๐Ÿ˜…

Hey Vitor, why is Amehtyst no longer on nostr.com ?

I don't know. I didnt even know we were there. But you should ask them.

When I started "The" Nostr I found your client there, on nostr.com.

key security is also a thing guys. I would only reccommend it when using some kind of hardware signer designed for nostr.

How about you just make amethyst better so we dont have to that unnecessary bullshit

technically, you only need your private key in one client: Amber ๐Ÿ˜

nostr:npub1w4uswmv6lu9yel005l3qgheysmr7tk9uvwluddznju3nuxalevvs2d0jr5 do you have a npub or landing site dedicated to Amber?

No, I need to make a landing website or npub.

Maybe something in the nip repo too so every client knows about amber, nip 7 and nip 46

if you're looking to outsource that task to someone who can do it ASAP, consider to hire nostr:npub1jk9h2jsa8hjmtm9qlcca942473gnyhuynz5rmgve0dlu6hpeazxqc3lqz7 - an all-round nostr social marketing and graphic design video making specialist freelancer frog ๐Ÿธ

So fast I already finished ๐Ÿซก

dm me for finished product ๐Ÿค

Gm Ser Sleepy it's the website than j told you . Good afternoon also to Vitor https://block.xyz/careers

I respect the ethos of competition and applaud that. I might create a separate private key for browsing Nostr in various clients

Personally I will avoid subjecting my private key to a lot of clients. Until we have a solid method of account transfer for compromized keys I will keep my risk exposure limited.

Use a Key signer extension/app

- Amber app // android

- Nostore app // iOS

- nosx2 extension // browser

there's more, but i only can vouch for these

nostr:npub15wmdmkp3ssmvr7cc3ewkx9t6k7lq9uh7eq9f99r0pcjr25uul2nq24gvjm is way cooler than me he goes to all the clients

Hyper decentralize ๐Ÿ˜†

Donโ€™t have time for this

Damn only use 2. And rarely the second. What I've been looking for is a nostr key generator (not a client). Also wish the nostr key worked like gpg where I could set an expiration date or create a revocation certificate.

Wait I thought you're not supposed to enter private keys all over the place.

??

Be careful with the keys. You can use a browser extension or other means to protect it while testing other apps.

Indeed my friends.

Some tips on how to get started.

On desktop and on mobile device

For feeds and messaging

Thatโ€™s 4 clients for you.

Then start exploring more use cases / clients.

10-15?!?!?! Whoa ๐Ÿคฏ

I use 3-4 max.

seems to be a call to client hop in order to taste the nostr rainbow ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ i'm also happy with 2-3 max...when i'm not testing ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿป

conservative nostrich here. browser extension has my key, and i test a bunch with it (nip-07), but not sure ive tried 10-15 clients

Iโ€™ve tried most but regularly use 2 and 4 if you count amethyst for testing and zap.stream

Amethyst, Snort, Coracle, listr, habla, zap.stream, 0xchart, Gossip, Lume, Yana, satellite, nostrudel and highlighter in the last week alone :)

10-15? Good grief.

Whatโ€™s the big benefit?

I use Amethyst and Plebstr on Android, iriSnort on desktop, noStrudel on both.

I used to use nostrgram.co in the past, but that just stopped working for me. I loved having masonry and grid layouts for posts.

In the spirit of "Don't Trust, Verify", how can users understand more about who are the entities providing the clients and probably also relays too?

It would be easier if we had a way to not enter our private keys on mobile though. The fact that we don't have something like Alby our Nos2x for mobiles, doesn't make me really confident when I have to enter my PK in multiple mobile clients

Am I being too careful ?

We need a nostr authenticator app on Android

Embrace multiple sex partners.

If you only have your dick in one woman, you are using sex wrong.

A good number is 10-15 women. Go find them.

nostr:note153cqx26lqngz7wvral2vjn5zke434xdqrwl4djfe6vu6aq0gp7dq73ju27

Nah, you do you, but I'm not interested in 10-15 clients with my nsec.

Them use https://spring.site/ one app for dozens of clients.

Please tell me @vitor panplona that Spring is safe with my nsec.

Thank you very much.

With a dummy account, I have been exploring Spring, the Nostr browser, for more than a couple of month. It's much more than awesome. Almost the whole of Nostr comes under the purview of a single app. Just wanna be sure it's surely secure to entrust worth my private key. Should I feel assured, nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z?

Also nostr:npub1xdtducdnjerex88gkg2qk2atsdlqsyxqaag4h05jmcpyspqt30wscmntxy, would you please explain?

Spring is safe, your keys are stored on disk in encrypted form, apps cannot access them, the source code is open.

Thank you very much, nostr:npub1xdtducdnjerex88gkg2qk2atsdlqsyxqaag4h05jmcpyspqt30wscmntxy, for taking your precious time to reply. What you tell is assuring. How does it encrypt nsec on disk please? Encrypt with what?

With keys generated inside the Android's internal keystore. Android ensures only Spring can access those keys, decryption is performed inside the keystore.

That sounds great. Thank you.

10-15? This is not a good way to convince people to use the Nostr protocol ๐Ÿคฃ thatโ€™s a lot

I use three clients

I'll just be wrong then lol.

spring is a great way to explore your options
