The channel funding output itself is Bitcoin, but unconfirmed updates to channel state can be considered credit.
Ahh, but it's not because I have a fully signed commitment by both parties that I can broadcast at any time. That ser, is not credit. No permission is required. It may not be what some consider a trad utxo but credit is absolutely NOT the right word as no one owes anyone anything. Both parties have equal sovereignty in the relationship.
