During undergrad I got in trouble with the IRS and had to pay back a lot of money on top of tuition and living expenses. I worked at a sandwich shop during the day when I wasn't at classes and I had a night job at an emergency maintenance call center for the dorms. Between both jobs I was working full time 40-50 hours as a full time student. It's possible!

I did graduate, and I did pay off the IRS bill. But I also got mediocre grades and fired from a few of the jobs because I was only sleeping like 4 hours a night and sometimes fell asleep on the job.

In hindsight, it was kind of dumb. In spreading myself so thin I wasn't able to excel. I thought I was just not smart / bad at school and had to do a lot of internal work to come to the point of: it wasn't that I was bad at school, it's that my peers all had financially supportive families and I was dealing with a financial anchor around my neck.

Good luck, friend! It's possible but pay very close attention to sleeping and eating habits because if you're going to treat your body like a machine you have to fuel and rest like one too 🫂
