Don't buy any Bitcoin if you don't wanna

I'll educate, but I've got no interest in convincing anymore. I used to try to convince everyone.

Did y'all reach this point about 4 yrs into your journey as well?

indeed!

I just also wait until people come to me

at this point, same

Exactly!

Yep šŸ’Æ

Yes. I don't even bring it up anymore. They know I know. They ask, I inform, but I don't push or offer information anymore.

exactly šŸ¤

Yep. Everyone will own Bitcoin, eventually.

Totally agree, orange pilling gets demoralising….happened sooner for me, about 18months of trying to wake people up was enough. Live your best life and some will follow.

Yeah. I entered in 2017 and went hard orange pilling 2019 to 2021 after I exited my shitcoin stage. I'm more live and let live now, although I did orange pill a few family members.

well done 🫔

Exactly

I’ll dangle the hook, and if they bite, I’ll keep going. But if not, I won’t push.

like a good fisherman

I don’t like people knowing I had any because then I’m a target šŸ˜‰

Joking aside, I never went crazy trying to orange pill people because I spent years doing that with other things like the carnivore diet or whatever thing I felt was super important at the time. It comes across condescending and arrogant even if what you’re saying is true.

If people ask what I’ve been up to then I’ll explain that I’ve been learning a lot about the intersection of finance and technology which is enough to put most clients to sleep on my table (context: I’m a massage therapist). But if they’re curious then I’ll explain my understanding of the bitcoin protocol in the most honest way I know how. I end up learning more about bitcoin (by teaching) and they’ve at least heard of it. I feel I’ve done my job.

I have a dad who somehow makes every conversation relate back to baseball somehow. I can’t make this up, literally EVERYTHING. Now, bitcoin literally does relate to everything but it’s so obnoxious to be ā€œthat guyā€ whose whole identity can be summarized by one word. You cut yourself off from reality.

Let bitcoin fuel you, the real you. People will ask, ā€œHow are you so optimistic about the future despite this that and the other thing?ā€ You put your energy into the new system. Save in bitcoin, self custody, work on your craft.

That's exactly correct, after 4 years everyone understands Satoshis quote "if you dont get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you"

didn't it take Satoshi like 4 yrs to say that?

If we count the development time, yes

quicker than I thought

Yep, I can clearly relate ... also within about a similar time frame šŸ¤ Eventually, it's your doing/building/living action that's going to make the difference. You're doing very well with that btw.

100%

people wanna emulate winners

My Christian faith is a very important component of my life and long ago I learned to only engage in faith conversations with those curious about my beliefs. This background made it easier to quickly adopt the same approach with conversations about Bitcoin, which is also an important part of my life.
