What web search engine do you think is best for privacy, and which search engine do you use every day?

I really want to choose the right one before building things around it. Someone also suggested Startpage and brave search.

What do you think?

Those are my go tos

I use DuckDuckGo but I am not sure if it is the BEST for privacy. Anything that’s not Google is good enough IMO.

I use DuckDuckGo daily, but I can't claim it's the best for privacy.

Clearly brave search

I second Brave Search and Startpage. I sometimes use mojeek.com as well.

I don’t know about privacy, but there is an RT test about censorship. Startpage doesn't know RT URL. DDG used to know, then forgot, now remembered again. Brave Search has always known. Quant thinks RT is BBC. Ecosia links to Reuters. Mojeek thinks that RT is a musician, but it gives the link correctly. Metager also knows the address of RT.

searx and qwant for me 😁

I also use Startpage as my main everyday browser, and have for a while

startpage is good but will make you fill out captchas when behind a vpn/blocking ads

I host my own searxng instance. I prefer it.

Both of those are good. I personally prefer Brave (their browser is also pretty good).
