Planting my new solar field of Nopal cactus, planted parallel to contour for capturing runoff.

Planted 15 so far with small shovel full of sand and perlite. Hopefully little to no irrigation necessary.

Planting another 35 in other locations to test different soils.

Not for me to eat but it is the variety everyone eats. If anything I'll it feed to a cow and eat them. I eat vegans so I don't have to be one🤣

I'm growing for fodder for humans, livestock and energy.

Nopales are really good to rejuvenate the lining of the GI tract .... And legend has it that the fruit will cure hangovers 😂

Looking forward to seeing how they grow.
