thanks fren. i just buy high quality companies when they are relatively cheap. no meme stocks, no hype or momentum chasing, certainly not btc treasury scams... just exceptional businesses that i'm able to understand and offer a fair or cheap price.

ok, i broke all of your rules :-D
i got lucky 3 times in a row first with bitcoin, then with MSTR then with MTPLF. so i naturally thought i was just brilliant and doubled down on all of them at the peak of "paper bitcoin summer" and added Smarter Web.
i still think in time they will all be fine. but i know now why they say "Stack sats and Stay humble".
i'm resigned to the fact that somewhere a more patient person is stacking the cheaper satoshis that I could have stacked with the purchasing power that i gave away.
I just didn't know their name was ... Verbiricha ;-p
but 34% that's double the S&P this year. congrats
it's worth the xapo account fee put it that way
xapo... i had to look it up. $1000 yearly fee but it's a bitcoin bank. that's interesting
Xapo was on the wrong side of history during the blocksize wars so it's not promoted much by maxis but it's a great bank. the founder is an OG.
yeah, anything else right now would be too much of a step down, it balances out especially if i do finally catch a good updraft at some point, and keep my stack growing long term. i can definitely recommend but the fee is a big startup cost. it was only 150 the first year. card keeps working, they have full lightning in/out, which i use exclusively because otherwise the option is a static deposit address which i don't know how to say enough bad things about.
i downloaded the Xapo app just to see if it lets me in the US. $1000 is a bit much but it's fun to browse around the Xapo website.
i'm living like a Mennonite now on a BitRefill standard: no loans, no credit card debt. i paid off the IRS 8.5% apr monthly payment plan.
i'm really enjoying sending bitcoin transactions to BitRefill to get giftcards. it really makes the benefit of bitcoin obvious over silver/gold.
i believe i'm also saving the merchants' 3% transaction fees over credit cards.
bitrefill has about 0.5% spread which is as good as it gets.
i think Ledn also used a static deposit address... it was only useful because at least i could recognize it and clearlist it if necessary
thanks fren, I'm an amateur retail investor and learning as I go.
none of my stock market positions have anything to do with Bitcoin, I'd rather own it in self custody than via a paper proxy. if you look at MSTR numbers it's a stagnant and mediocre business, and the CEO is a proven fraudster. that's a big no for me. I'm looking for greatness both quantitatively & qualitatively, preferably with world class management with skin in the game. there aren't many companies that make the cut.
