I’ve been eating gluten again for a year now.

Totally fine.

Is gluten intolerance a psyop? Please explain.

Its wheat and grains. People with Coeliac disease cant have it.

Most people probably don’t have celiac though

Exactly. We been eating gluten for ages. Its the new diet trend like the other ones you hear that made it trending. Ohh no how it got trending bread its an attack on bread hahaha

What if it is? I’ve heard it ALL about gluten. But if you don’t have celiac, then why does it make you sick?

And what if not eating it is not what improves symptoms?

But gluten doesn't get you sick. Only ri h people get si k from gluten because they thi k they fancy. Im a chef and i worked at a restaurant that specializes on allergies and they gluten allergy is nonsense. The thing is we dont know how any of these restaurant make your food.

If you truly are celiac you can’t eat restaurant food. You would just get sick immediately.

I think that there’s a lot of nocebo effect going on.

I worked here for 5 years and we hated gluten allergies because it was a pain for no reason hahha i served a lot of gluten free please plates haha 😅

I would guess food allergies are a smaller number than what’s become prevalent in society.

Can’t truly be that many people *allergic* to things.

Reintroducing peanut is going well for a friend’s kid. But I’ve got one niece who cannot have *corn* anything.

True allergies are gonna be a very small portion of the population and require an epi pen.

Gluten intolerance has got to be a contagion in itself.

Since we are born we get shots. Mothers dont produce natural milk any more so the child isnt getting all the right nutrients. The infamil isnt milk i believe the infamil is the cause for kids bei g allergic to corn and eggs i have a friend his son is allergic to eggs.

And people are delusional now and days. You are right no every one has an allergy but at restaurants it seems like it haha

Im taking to the source hahaha 😆

Oh, and when I work at that restaurant, I'm gonna tell you a little secret. A lot of the dishes Didn't change like we didn't have to change anything. All we changed was the plate, so the shape of the plate was different, so the server can tell which one is gluten-free.

Proof of nocebo effect!

In what form? Factory produced wheat-based junk food is one thing, properly fermented bread is another. There's also just your overall health at any given time impacting how well your body can handle the different nutrient/toxin loads.

I can eat all the gluten now. Not just sourdough. It can be straight all purpose flour and I’m fine. 🤷‍♀️ I don’t get it.

What if it's not the gluten but the sugar in the breads that's causing problems 🤔

It’s batshit. I didn’t eat gluten for 15 years. Now I’m fine. 🤷‍♀️ I eat it without issue

Lol, I think it was just an easy cop out for people. I do have a cousin with celiac disease and she has to be careful what she eats, apparently she gets mucus-y if she gets too much.

If you really have celiac, it causes permanent damage

🤷‍♀️ I just know what she said and this is what she said. She stays away and has no problems. Sounds more like an allergy or a sensitivity to me, but I'm not an expert 😂. I'm a believer in if you listen to your body, it'll tell you what you need. I crave green things, I eat a salad. I crave meat, I eat meat. Seems to work out pretty well 🤷‍♀️

Exactly. No bad foods. Just eat.

Yes!! 🔥🔥

More like not fully understood. (Gluten intolerance)

Too many variables and a lot of marketing hype around the sale of products with higher margins for companies.

I've suspected that much of it has been a feedback loop between the medical community and product manufacturers.

Anecdotally-

Friends and family that have claimed gluten intolerance have been able to eat the breads I bake with no issues for decades.

I truly think I had something else going on and blamed it on gluten.

It very well could have been gluten at some point. But there is no real help with any of it from doctors.

My doctor can’t explain why I *can* eat it again.

Trying to work up the courage to try eggs now… hoping for the same result 🤣

Agreed.

The reasons for gluten intolerance may be fairly wide spread and caused by a number of factors. (Humans are, unsurprisingly, fairly complex organisms)

That it can be temporary would be another likelihood.

I'm reminded of the cases of Alpha-gal Syndrome.

(A red meat allergy that ended up being linked Lone Star Tick bites)

I’ve heard of it. I’m always wondering what makes us sick, how to solve it, and why the f we don’t even know when we *can* eat the stupid food again
