Holy shit. We are so fucking early. Currently in a training session bc we are switching EMRs (electronic medical records). The level of regardedness from my fellow healthcare professionals is incredible.

Also, we desperately need an open-source alternative to Epic which is now holding medical records for 78% of patients in the US.

Epic lives by their name no doubt. Which has lead to almost no competition. A decentralized option would be really interesting and might force Epic to improve their product. Even a new centralized option might.

EMRs are cancer I swear. Combining that with the nostr protocol could literally revolutionize healthcare to an unbelievable extent.

Yes! Hospitals are prime targets for hackers. Our small hospital got hacked a few years ago, and the hospital just ended up paying a huge sum. FBI got involved and everything, but they still had to pay.
