I just released the first TESTING version of nostr:nprofile1qqszfrv3m6acxyqy4ghuega2n74rntkrfg9sp4pmse94vul56gnul8cpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhs33xu96

The app is functional but certainly not user ready. I just need the help of some good fellas with 2 Android devices at home to see how well the core behaves. The instructions are on the release page and in app's Home page.

Remember it's actually working, so if the devices successfully synchronize you should be able to see the new notes using your favorite client connected to your local relay.

My only intention is to check with how many devices the actual code works. I'm specially interested on old devices, but any device will provide good information.

And if you have no idea what nostr:nprofile1qqszfrv3m6acxyqy4ghuega2n74rntkrfg9sp4pmse94vul56gnul8cpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhs33xu96 is for, check the docs!

is the name referring to samizdat? 🤔

Correct 📜

Worked! Offline device was a pixel 6a on GrapheneOS, online device was a pixel 8p on stock Google OS 👍

Testing and bullish on Samiz

This works perfectly.

Pretty funny. Can't wait for going out and try 🥳

Not gonna lie...just looking at the image, I thought Samiz was an app for the girl to check out the guy's butt on the sly.

So do both devices have to be connected to each other via Bluetooth?

Tecnically, yes. But nothing similar to pairing or manual interaction. 2 devices that never met before can connect and exchange data without user interaction.

This is my first time hearing about Samiz. From skimming through the ReadMe on Github, it looks like it's predominantly for sending notes offline. Would other Nostr content types (such as messages on 0xChat) also work?

Yes! Any nostr event will work, anything you can send or receive from relays.
