Such random interactions tonight, I can see why most people need/demand censorship.
Perhaps we all need to be less thin skinned but seeing an exploded head gif shared (🤮), racist insults, and a lot of incoherence in just one hour makes the case for at least siloing groups.
We’re not all made to interact together all the time.
I just saw that convo and those are fediverse dudes using the bridge. They’re all psychotic like that.

BTW you may want to either set up your own relay or buy a storage relay if you want to retain your notes. Most relays will purge notes after some time…

A bit concerned about doing so now that I’ve seen some of the insanity out there.
I don’t want that on anything tied to me personally.
You can set it up to only store notes that are yours, or a white list, or based on filters etc…. I have not set one up yet either but plan to in the future. If it is DB BASED like some relays you can just delete any unwanted records after the fact and then modify the filter.
I am pretty new to this, joined about a week ago as twitter became unusable. I think we are all still learning how this works.
I should probably remove some relays.
Huh haven’t seen anything like that in my feed sounds like watching Netflix for the most part though just gratuitous violence. The hive mind and consciousness is growing try not to get overwhelmed 🤯

Not only have I seen none of this (even on global), but this is a laughably transparent "somebody think of the children" foot-in-the-door trojan horse, the likes of which were used to incrementally increase the suppression of legitimate speech on FB/Twitter1.0
Sorry (not sorry), but ZERO tolerance for attempting to legitimize blanket censorship by prefacing it with a positive "wow, things are good here, BUT....".
