Not a fan of random lotteries on nostr. Too easy to run... Marketing/Spam will be the separating factor for success 😭

Can #Nostr clients adopt a somewhat similar “business model”, e.g. hold a small percentage of the zaps sent from a client, maybe with a cap of 5000 sats/year (~1$/year). Or are there technical obstacles to this?
🤞 user adoption will increase enough to make it sustainable for a client to earn enough to sustain a few developers and their families.
How do Nostr dev live? Do most dev have other jobs?
I am working on a client in my free time and I’m considering applying to #[5] but I do not like too much the idea of relying on others generous donations.
