My rant post is why I stopped paying taxes many years ago. Family first, then everyone else.

Can you elaborate on how to safely achieve that?

Once you leave your own country nobody cares who you are, how you make your money or if you pay taxes.

What did you need to do in order to commit to the move?

Nothing. I just wanted to travel and that was long before Bitcoin even existed. I left Germany the first time with 18. Came back one year later, didn't feel like a place I wanted to live in so I went to Thailand a couple of years later. Then came back one more time, still a shithole so I moved to Spain where I've spent the last 15+ years. Then I came back for family affairs and before I knew I'm here for the 2nd year.

I have no plans in staying but right now it is what it is.

Very Inspiring!

I want to do something similar.

Your life changes the moment you leave your country. trust me on this

I’d move to Costa Rica right now if I didn’t have a business to run here. Just trying to get it to a point where it’s self sufficient with employees and a manager, and then hopefully I can leave.

I hope it works out! Costa Rica is a beautiful place.

I’d love to do that as well

Completely understand. I’ve been fortunate to travel quite a bit. But, I haven’t been able to make the life move to another country. I’d like to

where would you go?

Tough to say. I’ve heard good things about Costa Rica. Always wanted to live in Japan (been twice) but not too sure if that’s doable or makes sense

Agreed, but I would extend that to say living abroad for a while in particular is what really changes how you view and react to the world. It’s really freeing to know that a life can exit outside of your home ‘state’ and they you can live anywhere on this massive earth you choose if you have the interest and will to do so. Once you realize that, government in general, no matter where you go — has very little hold on you anymore 🤙

I absolutely agree with you! Travelling and living in several countries over the last 30 years made me the person I am today. A sovereign mind way beyond any and all government scrutiny. I don't think you can experience real freedom without first disconnecting yourself from the system you grew up in.

💯

in Canada taxes are taken automatically from paychecks so there is no way to stop paying them.

You'll have to exit the system to free yourself from taxes. In other words, you'll have to leave your country.

That's not a good solution. For example if I leave Canada to another country. If I want to a job in the new country then I have to be registered and allowed to work in my new country. The new country will also tax me.

You could possibly work under the table but then you risk the chance that you get caught.

There is no country where you can move and start working right away. The system is everywhere.
