Im so impressed and excited by Nostr, I only heard of it because I read nostr:nprofile1qqsw4v882mfjhq9u63j08kzyhqzqxqc8tgf740p4nxnk9jdv02u37ncpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezumtpd35kutn0dekqz9rhwden5te0dehhxarjwdshganp9ehx2aqkrad8w s book and then found her nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcpremhxue69uhkummnw3ez6ur4vgh8wetvd3hhyer9wghxuet59uqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dsth695r link. I’m 45, I remember in the late nineties early aughts when xml and web services were coming out, there was this feeling that the web was going to be this messy organic system of services communicating, but what we got was more and more centralization.
I think the key is to start with signed messages, that’s the core, then figure everything else out, that’s the antidote to centralizing (and also the antidote to generative deep fakes). Nostr community really got this right. “Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly” I love the mess, we will figure it out as we go!
