I'm no Apple simp and 30% is egregious, but it's a free market and if people want to use Apple it's up to them.

At best, they hijack the user and make them pay themselves and then split the funds between apple and themselves automatically (fortunately very easy with Bitcoin, unfortunately very slow and difficult with the fiat that Apple will ask for).

Does Apple take 30% of zaps from Android users? Desktop users? If not, is the receiver on an iOS device charged the 30%? or the payer from an iOS device?
