Paying for Netflix but ending up on the Pirate Bay at the end of the day. This is the way.

i can't help but appreciate how these companies cease to be good at the primary thing they offer over time. its kind of hillarious how out of touch they become

Exit = voice. I choose physical media. The second hand market is cheap for popular titles.

I've experienced that with Netflix but usually all I need to do is change servers and it will swallow it.

What's even stupider is what Max/HBO does in Spain: very often it will simply refuse to give me English subtitles if the original voiceover is English, and in other cases, I will not provide an original version and force a Spanish-dubbed version on me. I have talked to their customer service countless times, and they don't even acknowledge the problem. Last time it got so frustrating that I finally said enough is enough.

I had these subscriptions because my wife insisted, for her ease of use so she could watch stuff without my "assistance" (especially when we're not in the same place at the same time, which happens relatively often). But she has finally surrendered to evidence, which is good a good outcome anyhow.

tried multiple but it didnt work. Took 5mins to just dl the file instead.

I have stopped using all kinds of subscription services. With YouTube increasing it's prices being the last nail in the coffin. I'd rather buy physical copies than go through this stupidity.

And ofcourse, digital property being "right click" copy-able helps.

The sort of DRM that exists today is a huge threat to privacy, I would rather not watch DRM at all, or find easier ways if possible.

completely agree
