FIRE eventually led me to Bitcoin. A lot of soulless work in the world. I would agree that we're not made to be idle, but I don't think we're made to endlessly work to pay off debt for things we don't need either.

FIRE is as much about fiscal responsibility as early retirement. Its a net positive IMO, but not an ideal endpoint. Its a transition from from NPC world to a lower time preference. If you've never been stuck in the rat race then you probably won't see that.

If that's the case for you then you're ahead of most people which is awesome, just understand that you're not going to get it. FIRE represents a light at the end of the tunnel if you hate your work.
