That’s fair. What about insular religious communities and their economic activity..?

In either case, the classification as a religion might offer significant legal protections that don’t currently exist.

💯

It would cause more hurdles for bitcoin adoption than it would provide benefits. You have to qualify under 501(c)(3) as a tax exempt church, org, or entity & you have to apply to the IRS for the tax exempt status. Good luck meeting these listed requirements:

Sorry don’t need to apply if you meet 501(c)(3) but the church of satoshi would most likely not qualify

*definitely not

Lol

Not with that attitude.

If Scientology, Mormonism and Pastafarians can have a religion why the fuck can’t we?

Indeed..

You’re thinking about it all wrong.

To wife: Honey we have to go to church on Sunday ;) every Sunday

Instead of bread we could do steak bites and wine. Or beer.

I mean I love this so yes

Easier to organize in communities if they are tax exempt and better protection for religion

What if we’re all ordained reverends tho & merely conducting church bidness?

Now your thinking

Poppa frog with the loophole

Like a bitcoin meet up but better and more organized.

OK. Will change name to reflect creed.

Seconded.

Everyone on nostr is now either an uncle or a reverend. There is no other choice.

Keys be upon you 🙏

And you brother jimbo 🙏
