I really wish people would see how rough and toxic x is and just come here.

But #nostr social apps really needs a “for you” type feed. User-set algorithms, perhaps with different feeds, and starting with a simple “friends you follow like ______”. Users can turn on or off or switch algorithms, just like in many AI clients you can now toggle between models, modes.

This will help drive engagement, communities finding similar industry to diversify the user base here and give people a reason to come here. It’s like 80% of X users hate X, but they don’t have anywhere else to go.

They need more reasons to be here! Low hanging fruit with how truly terrible X is. More violent, graphic, and negative content than ever based on algorithm preference, rage-bait, platform just not working because Elon thought it would be fun to fire most of the engineers, false freedom flag flying, robot spam central and beyond.

#Bitcoin is for everyone, and I truly believe #nostr is for everyone too…let’s keep at it 👏

Nostr works well with the "reverse algorithm".

You follow hashtags of themes you care about, and mute the noise over time.

My feed is pretty healthy like this.

True true!

Yeah what kills me is, yes, there’s still toxicity here or horrible comments etc but it isn’t AMPLIFIED the more pile on. On X it is. Here it’s a mute and move on (although I’d be a proponent of blocks as well depending on the nature of things, idk, complicated I know).

on nostrudel you can just type the hashtag into the search

Depends on the client you use. On amethyst if you click on any hashtag, there is a button to follow it.

Can’t you just follow the hashtags and create your own community to get what you want? Of course, #nostr is so much more than social media imho. It’s a market place for free commerce and a town square for free speech.

For sure, and to be fair I could do that more (although depending on client and topic, it’s underutilized network wide). And yes I was referring to just nostr social clients
