Bitcoin2025: Discernment and Transformation
Jimmy Song is making an important point here: beyond a certain size, most conferences become dependent on fiat sponsors and altcoin money. I saw that too. There were subtle shifts—the language of “crypto” creeping into speeches, a “blockchain summit” being promoted, and even Bitcoin advocates like JD Vance defaulting to broader terms that dilute the signal.
Even Ross’s speech, though deeply moving, had a few moments where that distinction blurred.
And yet…
Despite this undercurrent, I left Bitcoin2025 feeling more clear, more convicted, and more hopeful than I’ve felt in a long time.
That might sound contradictory. But maybe that’s the nature of awakening: it doesn’t require perfection. It just requires truth strong enough to break through the noise.
I met people who get it. I heard voices—some from unexpected places—that reminded me why I chose Bitcoin. And I remembered that this isn’t about branding or tribalism. It’s about freedom. It’s about sovereignty. It’s about building something real, rooted in time, cost, and work.
You can see the drift and still be moved. That’s not gullibility. That’s discernment—and hope.
I’ll be unpacking more of this in the days ahead. But for now: I’m grateful.
Also: Jimmy Song’s book “Fiat Ruins Everything” was part of that awakening I read it late last year (November time frame) forever grateful thank you nostr:nprofile1qqs8k0mcqd6sw3h524qn5gslszt9am9knmes3uh268dgnnpv3yfwj6qpzamhxue69uhky6t5vdhkjmn9wgh8xmmrd9skctcpramhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0v3jhyatwdejhyuewdejhgam0wf4spg02xw !
