Have you tried making your own jerky? Pretty easy really...dehydrator helps, but you can even just use your oven.

Tons of recipes online to try out...basically marinate the meat, slice it to your desired thickness, dry it and you're done...

This is a different product made from ground meat, not sliced muscle cuts.

There are recipes for ground meat as well---same principle (grind the meat, marinate, dehydrate). For ground meat you simply need a tray that will "hold" the ground meat as it's a bit more fragile--but once it dries it's pretty much like any other jerky.

They also make "syringes" (for lack of a better term) that you can use to squeeze out ground jerky into strips if you'd like...

It's all pretty easy to do at home--and you save a TON of money....
